Captain Gresh Meggett III

I’m Captain Gresh Meggett III and I have been the owner/operator of Absolute Reel Screamer Charters since 1998. I’m an 8th generation Charlestonian. My family and I have been navigating these waters since the early 1700’s. I started my private boat tours out of pure love for our estuaries, dolphins, and amazing marine life here in Charleston South Carolina. The tributaries we’ll be travelling on were my childhood playgrounds! In the summer my cousins and I were in them from sun up until supper time – shrimping, fishing, and just exploring. My father would walk to the end of our dock and shoot a shotgun so we’d know it was time to come home. Everyday that I am in these rivers, I feel like a kid again! Generations on Charleston Waters

Captain Gresh Meggett III, an 8th generation Charlestonian, founded Absolute Reel Screamer Charters in 1998 out of a profound love for the estuaries, dolphins, and marine life of Charleston, South Carolina. Growing up, the waterways of Morris Island were his playground, where he spent countless hours exploring, fishing, and shrimping. These cherished childhood memories inspired him to share the magic of these waters with others. Today, Captain Gresh invites you to join him on a journey through the rivers and estuaries he knows so well, offering a unique and exhilarating experience that captures the essence of Morris Island.
