A private tour like this was perfect. Our group thought this adventure made our trip! Captain Geresh is a gem. He gave us the greatest dolphin experience. We watched a dolphin teaching her calf to fish plus a group of dolphins Strand Feeding. He gave us interesting history of the island and lighthouse. He gave us time for shelling too! Captain Geresh worked around rainy weather to make sure we received the full experience. Thank you Captain!

This was such an amazing excursion! The guide was exceptionally flexible and knowledgeable. He worked with us to reschedule when our scheduled day/time was stormy. We saw multiple dolphins and the guide was careful to avoid disturbing them. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour!

We’ve gone on two tours with Gresh now and they are wonderful! We saw a ton of dolphins and other wildlife. He’s very knowledgeable about the islands ecology and history.

Absolutely amazing experience!! Gresh is not only the captain but also a dog and dolphin whisperer. We have been on several dolphin tours but have never seen so many and up so close. The boat was cleaned to perfection as well.

Our time out with Gresh was one of the highlights of our trip to Charleston! It was amazing being out on the water learning about the local environment from someone who has a ton of knowledge and passion for Folly. We loved cursing through the marsh grass, admiring the local wildlife (including tons of dolphin sightings) and collecting shark teeth by the lighthouse. Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in adding an adventure to their trip.

Can’t say enough about the magical day we had on the Folly River and out at Morris Island with Capt. Gresh of Absolute Reel Screamer Charters. A perfect blend of history, wildlife sightings, lighthouse views and shell/shark tooth hunting, Gresh’s local knowledge of Folly’s waterways and surrounds is unparalleled. He made sure our family of four were comfortable, safe, and well-informed the entire trip. This was an amazing charter. We took our dog Athena, who’s never been on a boat, and she did beautifully. Gresch was amazing! So knowledgeable about the local wildlife and the area. More as silent was the absolute highlight of the trip. I would highly recommend this charter, we had a wonderful time.

I'm Captain Gresh, an 8th generation Charlestonian. I was born and raised on the estuaries we run, and these waterways were my playground growing up.
Twenty-nine years later I'm still out here, because I'm as passionate about this ecosystem as I was as a child. I know where to find the dolphins through every stage of the tide, at any time of day, and I have wildlife stories and history of this area that no other captain out here knows.

Private Eco & Dolphin Tour in Morris Island
I'm Captain Gresh. I'm an 8th generation Charlestonian, and I was born and raised on the estuaries this tour runs. These waterways were my playground growing up, and twenty-nine years later I'm still out here.
This is a private two-hour charter for up to six people. We glide through calm rivers lined with oyster beds, looking for bottlenose dolphins. I know where they hold through every stage of the tide, at any time of day.
We also visit Morris Island and its lighthouse, the sixth oldest in the nation. Along the way I'll share the wildlife encounters and the history of this area that you won't hear from another captain out here.
You'll have an exhilarating adventure. You'll also walk away feeling you're now a part of these waters.
Pricing: $225 for up to 2 people, $275 for up to 4, and $300 for up to 6. That is the price for the whole private charter, not per person.

Morris Island
Our last stop Morris Island! It is an uninhabited barrier island steeped in history and only accessible by boat. The 54th Massachusetts, which was the first African American union troops to fight in the Civil War, fought and died on this island. The movie ‘Glory’ was based on these troops and you’ll be walking the same battlefield these brave men fought on. Countless Union as well as Confederate soldiers perished on this breathtaking island. Not only do we find Civil war artifacts but also sharks teeth, Indian pottery as well as beautiful shells which cascade the sandy beach! This is an experience, no matter what the age, your whole family can enjoy. While you’re exploring the beach the sixth oldest lighthouse in the nation serves as your backdrop!
